What is Neighborhood Children’s Theatre?

NCT is a creative endeavor to serve Pensacola and the surrounding areas with engaging children’s yoga electives and performance art education for adolescents. Our goal is to teach children about art and creative expression while cultivating empathy, compassion and integrity through storytelling.

We are excited to expand our catalogue of classes in the coming months to include theatrical arts and musical disciplines.

Meet Kayla

Hello! My name is Kayla May, and I’m so excited you’re here!

I have a deep-rooted passion for cultivating empathy through storytelling. That’s why I love encouraging our local community to engage in the arts.

As a native Floridian, I’ve spent a lifetime performing professionally along the Gulf Coast (as well as in New England). I earned my B.A. in Theatre Performance from the University of West Florida and now have over 10 years experience in teaching theatrical arts.

I am a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), and I take a play-based approach to teaching yoga, providing opportunities for creativity and self-expression, while inviting children to explore movement and connect with their bodies.

We can’t wait for you to join us!
